Interior Designer – A professional whose focus is on the interior of a house, working on
creating spaces that are not only functional but make sense in a house. On top of this, they also
work on the design of the interior, from picking materials to make sure the floors, walls,
cabinets, etc. match and create an aesthetic appeal.
Architect – The professional who designs and oversees the total constructions process.
When starting, they focus on the creation of their drawings but soon turn to making sure that
these plans are being executed correctly on the site of the job.
Mechanical Engineer – Uses many different principles including mathematics, materical
science, and physics to create mechanical systems. Mechanical engineers work in many different
industries that include aerospace and automotive, just to name a few. In these industries, they
design, analyze, and manufacture mechanical systems and devices.
Electrical Engineer – Their main task, as said in the name, is to work on many different
electrical systems and devices. With these devices, they have to design, develop, and maintain
these systems which are important for many reasons including powering different homes and
industries.
Civil Engineer – These types of engineers are specifically used for infrastructure
projects, like when building different roads, bridges, and buildings. On these projects, their main
task is focusing on the design, construction, and maintenance of their projects.
Landscape Designer – A professional who designs the outdoor areas of different
residences. Not only do these people work on plant selection, but on the areas surrounding them
like where to put pavers, plant boxes and more. They work on a variety of projects from one
house backyard to full on public parks.
Construction Manager – Oversee and coordinate constructions projects. They are in
charge of planning the whole construction process from the first dirt break to the end. They have
to manage crews or subcontractors they hire to complete work. In total, they are in charge of all
aspects of a construction project and make sure that all goes smoothly and well.
