SAS (Side-Angle-Side) Congruence
– If two sides and the included angle of one triangle equal the corresponding parts of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
Example:
– Triangles ΔPQR and ΔP’Q’R’ with PQ = P’Q’, PR = P’R’, and ∠QPR = ∠Q’P’R’ (included angle).
– By SAS, ΔPQR ≅ ΔP’Q’R’.
– Therefore QR = Q’R’, ∠PQR = ∠P’Q’R’, and ∠PRQ = ∠P’R’Q’.
