The Colleg e Board strongl y encourag es educator s to mak e equitable access a guiding
principle f or their AP pr ograms by gi ving all willing and academically pr epared students t he
opportunity to participat e in AP . W e encour age the elimination of barriers that r estrict access
to AP f or students fr om ethnic, r acial, and socioeconomic gr oups that ha ve been traditionall y
underr epresent ed. Schools should mak e ev ery effort to ensure their AP classes refl ect the
