Please provide correct details as this will be used for vessel planning and basis on arrastre wharfage.
Any misdeclaration or incomplete info that will affect the operations may entail additional charges that will be
shouldered by Shipper.
Note: Should the full container gated in at North (ICTSI) without pre-advise, shut out fee will be for the account
of
the shipper & it is shipper’s responsibility to inform the carrier for such occurrence.
Verified Gross Mass (VGM):
1. PPA affirms that all weighbridge operators (terminal operators, cargo handling operators, and independent
weighbridge operators) inside the port are the official source of information for the verified gross mass of packed
containers
2. Effective 16 June 2021, ICTSI and ATI SOUTH will be imposing the shutout fees for measured weights (weight taken
upon arrival at the terminal) that are above or below 1,500 kilograms from the Shippers Declared VGM during
preadvise.
Please note as well that only those with settled shutout fees will be included in the loading plan of the vessel.
3. Every country may have a different threshold. It is important that you verify with your receivers to ensure
that the cargo will not have any gross mass discrepancy that can lead to penalty once arrived at destination.
Taking Canada as an example, threshold is not more than 500kgs. If the discrepancy in gross mass is confirmed, then
the shipper’s responsibility for providing the accurate VGM of a container,
shall, among other things, result in the shipper taking necessary corrective actions to avoid misdeclaration of
VGM in the future.
