Features of Level F
© 2017 Kumon Institute of Education Printed in USA 1808
In this level, the first new focus point is the
multiplication and division of three fractions. Then
you will do exercises on calculating the Least
Common Multiple (LCM) of three numbers. Being
able to find the LCM of three numbers will enable
you to add and subtract three fractions.
The addition and subtraction of three fractions will be
easy to master if you follow the patterns set in the
examples. Some exercises help build your mental
calculation by omitting intermediate steps.
In Worksheets 61-130, you calculate expressions
that have a combination of operations. The rules
for calculating the four operations are as follows:
Calculate items inside the grouping symbols first,
and do multiplication and division before addition
and subtraction (left to right).
In Worksheets 131-160, you will learn how to write
a fraction in decimal form. We encourage you to
memorize common decimals such as 0.5, 0.25,
0.125, etc.
Worksheets 181-200 focus on the four operations
with decimals. After mastering this section, you will
be able to use decimals confidently in future levels.
